Throughout 2022, DuPont was the recipient of three gold and one silver Edison Award and was recognized in several other categories of distinction for their contributions to advancing sustainability.  As one of the world’s largest science-based product organizations, DuPont actively advocates and innovates to benefit communities and enhance the quality of life on a global level.  Standard Pipe Services recently had the opportunity to contract with DuPont on pipe rehabilitation projects in Wilmington, Delaware.  Entrusting their pipe rehabilitation needs to us meant they could focus on what they do best, and we were happy to contribute to their success.

Pipe Reline & Rehabilitation

The DuPont industrial complex required the relining of two sanitary sewer segments.  The job was complex in that it required unique safety precautions and specialty cleaning.  Standard Pipe Services’ expertise in pipe rehabilitation served the project well by identifying and diagnosing problem areas through cleaning and televising 452 lineal ft of pipe.  Upon investigation, lining was determined to be the best suitable solution for the problem area.

Standard Pipe Services’ safety procedures aligned with DuPont requirements seamlessly.  The SPS dispatched a six-person crew who effectively lined the pipe.  After observing the skill level, expediency, and minimal disruption during this project, a new scope of work was extended to the SPS crew.  DuPont contracted an additional 197 feet of 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer.  Standard Pipe Services implemented the lining process which was carried out using a polypropylene liner with styrenated resin.
