Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Personal safety.
Jobsites at SPS can be inherently dangerous. The primary person responsible for your safety is YOU. Fulfilling this responsibility requires but is not limited to the following:
Attending and understanding the safety training, and instilling the training in your work habits 100% of the time.
Ensuring that you have the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the job site.
Being vigilant at all times regarding your surroundings, and those of your fellow crew.
Learn your work.
Take instruction from your foreman and more experienced crew members.
Take the time to help and teach new crew members.
Be engaged on the job site. Anticipate what needs to be done, and check-in with your foreman.
Be productive.
Acquire and maintain your flagger card and any other certifications you have.
Consider obtaining your CDL.
Take care of your vehicles and equipment
Drive and operate equipment with CARE.
Keep equipment clean.
Clean leave trash from the trucks.
Clean off cameras and crawlers EVERY DAY.
Protect connectors and cables at all times.
Take care of plugs, pumps, generators, air compressors, and hand tools.
Take stock of everything used on the job, and make sure it’s picked up at the end of the day.
Take care of the safety equipment.
Listen and respect your Foreman at all times
Your Foreman is the senior member of SPS on the job site. He is in charge.
Follow his direction.
Refer all questions from inspectors, residents, officials, and anyone else – AT ALL TIMES.
Be on time, EVERY TIME.
Keep the job site clean.
Drive like a professional
Keep your driver’s license in good standing
Prepare and maintain all required driver logs, every day
Inspect your truck daily, report all issues timely
